What is Heart for The House?

It’s an opportunity of over and above giving to generously sow into 3 areas: Compassion, Construction, and Changed Lives.

As of Sunday, November 24th, we have reached and exceeded our goal of $2,000,000!! You can continue to give to Heart for the House until December 31st.

Thank you, Church, for your prayers, your faith, and for sowing into this vision. We are so excited to impact lives around the world, improve our buildings, and continue to take Kingdom ground.

Read below to learn more about how we will be sowing into these different areas and how you can be a part of it.

The Gospel of Mark records the story of a woman who gave a gift that was significant to Christ Jesus. As he was preparing to pour out his life for humanity, she also—in devotion and gratitude—poured out all that she had. She broke her perfume and poured it over Jesus’ head and body. His gift filled the entire house and I believe our gifts should fill the house during this season of giving.

Mark 14:1-3
“It was now two days before Passover and the Festival of Unleavened Bread. The leading priests and the teachers of religious law were still looking for an opportunity to capture Jesus secretly and kill him. ‘But not during the Passover celebration,’ they agreed, ‘or the people may riot.’ Meanwhile, Jesus was in Bethany at the home of Simon, a man who had previously had leprosy. While he was eating, a woman came in with a beautiful alabaster jar of expensive perfume made from essence of nard. She broke open the jar and poured the perfume over his head.”

Compassion, Construction, and Changed Lives are significant to God’s cause and we are entering into significant days. Days where we, as His House, will be called on to reach more, love more, serve more, and give more to impact the multitude. Thank you for praying about your over and above gift to Heart for The House on November 21, 2021. Our prayer is that every person who calls Brand New Church home will sow into our future and help us reach the challenge of greater impact.

Cindy and I thank you for your faithfulness, generosity, and love for all things that are dear to the heart of God…a Heart for His House. It is an honor to serve the Lord Jesus with you during this extraordinary time in human history. The best is yet to come.

With love,
Shannon and Cindy O’Dell

One of the areas of Heart for The House is called “Compassion” which is where we focus in on the needs within our local communities and around the world.

Compassion literally means to suffer together. It is defined as the feeling that arises when you are confronted with another's suffering and feel motivated to relieve that suffering.

This year, we are honored to get to partner with some incredible organizations to share the Gospel and make an impact in the world around us!

In Our Community:

  • Mercy Mall: Handing out protein, other foods and necessities to those in need within our local communities.

  • Informed Choices: Providing essentials for unwed mothers in need.

  • School Lunches: We are continuing our partnership with Farmington Public Schools to provide lunches for students who do not get a meal at school because of finances. Our heart is to make sure every student receives a meal at school.

In our Country:

  • JAARS Aviation: For Hurricane Helene relief.

  • Mercy Mall: Supporting our Virginia and Texas locations.

In Our World:

  • Ray of Hope Crisis Pregnancy Center: Our investment into the Ray of Hope building includes a warm, peaceful, inviting area that will encourage expecting mothers in need to stay, help them feel safe and see the potential of a Brand New Life.

  • House of Hope & Other Communities in Peru: We purchased the House of Hope building in order to help expand and improve it so that more and more children will come to know Jesus and learn more about him. Heart for the House has also provided school supplies for kids, teaching supplies for teachers, resources for new equipment for schools in Iquitos, and more.

  • Wycliffe Bible Translators: Helping people around the world translate the Bible into their own languages.

  • Mission Kathmandu: Biblical marriage truth supersedes cultural norms and creates breakthrough for The Gospel. These pictures tell the story of marriage revival breaking out in Nepal. Great marriages build great churches.

The “Construction” area of Heart for The House allows us to improve our facilities so that we can make more room and better accommodate you, your families, friends and future guests.

  • Brand New Building for our Farmington Campus

  • Bergman Student Room

  • Farmington Kids Area Expansion

  • Purchase of the building for our Calico Rock Campus

“Changed Lives” is just that—how we, as a church, can sow into life change. It’s eternal, and it’s arguably the most important piece of Heart for The House.

We do this through so many different ways, and this year, we are focusing on the following:

  • Baptisms (275+)

  • Romance Uncensored: A marriage event hosted by Brand New Church

  • Beach Camp: A summer camp for Jr. High & High School students.

  • Sky Camp: A summer camp for Middle School students.

  • Vacation Bible Kool: A summer camp for Elementary School students.

  • Technology: Sharing the gospel through our online campus.

Through Heart for The House, Brand New Church has been able to do exponentially more than we have ever imagined. Thank you for considering to give to this vision and for the eternal impact you will be a part of!
